The Balance Team of Riot Games is considering a Sivir update or mini-rework a few days following the release of the League of Legends Durability Update, or Patch 12.11, to reinstate her crit-focused build, giving her more damage and less utility with the objective of removing the deadly build.
According to Dexertodeveloper Ray ‘Ray Yonggi’ Williams, Riot Games intends to update Sivir in the same way that Taliyah, Olaf, and Swain were reworked. Ray Yonggi believes that it is vital to “legitimize his critical build” by bringing a style of play that is more congruent with DPS (Damage per Second).
Given that the kit hasn’t changed much since its release in 2009, the passive and Ricochet would be the next step: “We’re attempting to improve but not replace each of her abilities to keep her familiar but more functional.” The shield, which is essential for recharging mana, will be retained as a third ability, while the ultimate should improve damage rather than ensure team movement speed. Obviously, these are just concepts, and the final product may include more adjustments.
We’ll just have to wait till Riot announces the release date for the Sivir mid-scope update.
Meanwhile, at the LEC Summer Split 2022, live audiences will return to Europe.
